Our Logo

In the direction of our principles, we loaded the meanings below, to our Logo:
1. In our Logo there are letters “G”, “D”, “K”, the first letters of turkish subordinative “Gaziantep Dijital Kütüphanesi” (in english “Gaziantep Digital Library”)
2. In our Logo there are letters “G”, “D”, “Y”, the first letters of turkish words “Görsel” (“visual” in english), “işitsel” (“audial” in english) and “yazılı” (“written” in english). With this group of meanings, we express the target of ability of accessing both visual and audial materials as well as written publishments from our Digital Library.
3. In our Logo the shapes of an eye for “Visual”, four sense lines for “Audial”, an opened book shape that can be seen from left side of our Logo for “Written”. With this group of meanings the target that is expressed by the meaning in item two above is expected to be reemphasized.
4. The red colour of the shape of our Logo and the white colour of background are carrying the aim of becoming identical with the colours in the flag of Republic of Turkey.
5. There is no frame in our Logo. It is aimed to emphasize that everybody from seven to seventy can access all materials in our Library without any limitations.
6. Our Logo consists of two nesting circles. The circle inside implies that materials about Gaziantep is full of world. The circle outside states that still materails full of world can be produced.
